Whitney parsons
I was born and raised in Panama City. I went to Mosley High School where I played volleyball and was an active member of a variety of clubs, including Latin Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Beta Club, & Pep Club. After graduating high school in 2007, I attended Gulf Coast Community College and earned an associate's degree in accounting.
I began Florida State University in 2009. I pursued a degree in applied mathematics and planned to teach when I graduated. To reach my goals I found FSU-Teach in 2011, and it was there I solidified my commitment to become a teacher.
I feel my passion for mathematics is something I enjoy sharing with students. The sense of satisfaction when students are able to meet goals and expectations is what I strive for. I seek a rewarding professional career where my passion for mathematics can impact students to the greatest extent.
I strive to be organized, timely and balanced in all aspects of my life. I love the outdoors. I enjoy playing volleyball, going to the beach and travelling. I enjoy trying new foods as a novice gourmet, experiencing new activities and places. I am also a thrill seeker who enjoys riding motorcycles, skydiving, zip-lining, and roller coasters.
